INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR DISASTER REDUCTION
OBSERVED IN CITY
Mysuru, Mar. 9- Home Guards and Fire and
Emergency Services personnel took out a rally
to create awareness among the public on
disaster reduction as part of International
Day for Disaster Reduction which was
observed in city yesterday.
The rally which was flagged off by KSRP
Commandant Ramdas and Regional Fire
Officer Eshwar Nayak from Kote
Anjaneyaswamy Temple, passed through K.R.
Circle, Devaraj Urs Road and DC’s office,
culminated at Scouts and Guides grounds,
where a demonstration on how to deal with
fire emergency situations was held.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of
painting contest organised for students on the
occasion.

Officer Gururaj, Mysuru Palace Board Deputy
Director T.S. Subramanya and others were
present.
